Calhoun City basketball teams to play in state semifinals Tuesday

Calhoun City basketball is heading to Jackson. Both City’s boys’ and girls’ teams are competing this week in the last stages of the state tournament with the goal of bringing home a gold ball and a state title. Calhoun City’s girls are looking to repeat as state champions this season after capturing the title in 2020. Boys’ head coach Daren Coffey, despite making it to Jackson multiple times in his career, is searching for his first state championship.
