Tickets are now on sale for the annual Bruce Chamber of Commerce Banquet at the Bruce Museum where syndicated columnist Sid Salter will be the featured speaker.
The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 and include the presentation of annual awards – Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Chamber Member of the Year.
Past winners of the Citizen of the Year award have included Rickie Vaughn, John Edward Brasher, Dr. Bruce Longest, Paul Hendrix, Debra Petty and June Vaughn to name a few.
Voting is still being accepted for this year’s awards until the end of this week. The public at large can vote for Citizen of the Year. All votes should be emailed or turned into the Chamber office directly behind Bruce Telephone Company.
Business of the year and chamber member of the year are voted on by chamber members only.
Paisley’s in Big Creek will cater the meal. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Chamber office, Spratlin Building Supply, Jeffery’s, or Connie’s Flowers.
