The Bruce Farmers’ Market will look slightly different this week.
The Bruce Chamber of Commerce will host their regular “Throwback Thursday” farmers’ market this week, but it will be Thursday morning from 8-11 a.m. due to Sawmill Festival vendors beginning to move in that afternoon.
The market will return to its normal schedule July 18.
There will be no music this week, only vendors selling.
Chamber Secretary Carol Shoemaker reported a “very successful” market last week for July 4th.
“We had several people come out on the square,” Shoemaker said. “It was wonderful to see.”
Weyerhaeuser provided supplies for hamburger plates that sold out and after several musicians performed, a fireworks display was held on the Square.
“We had such a great response,” Shoemaker said. “We will definitely look into expanding our July 4 celebration next year.”
