Spring break events at Jesse Yancy Memorial Library include storytime, making movies

Spring Breakers, ages 12 and under, join us Monday, Mar. 11 and Tuesday, Mar. 12 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. as we celebrate Spring Break at the Jesse Yancy Memorial Library in Bruce.

Monday will be “If You Give… a Storytime” featuring a mouse, a pig, a moose, and some other favorite characters.

Tuesday will be “If You Give… a Party”. We’re sure to have lots of fun with snacks, stories, crafts and games. Make plans to join us. This event is sponsored by 20th Century Club. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

YALSA presents Teen Tech Week – Check In @ Your Library.

Spring Breakers, ages 12 and up, join us Monday, Mar. 11 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. as we celebrate Teen Tech Week with a special Game Day. We’ll have a variety of board games and the Nintendo Wii to play.

Also, be sure to join us Tuesday, Mar. 12 from 3:30-5 p.m. for a “Let’s Make A Movie” program. We’ll be making 2-minute movie adaptations of some of your favorite books. Come with a book in mind and we’ll all get to work on props, scenes, and filming.

Snacks will be provided by Fine Arts Club. Call the library at 983-2220 for more information about any of these programs.
