The Wolverines will travel to Vardaman with a perfect 5-0 record, coming off their only close game of the season – a one-point victory over Calhoun City.
“I don’t think it will be hard to get the kids up for this one,” Vardaman Coach Justin Hollis said of this week’s game.
Hollis said the keys to victory  don’t change – no turnovers on offense while creating them on defense.
He also stressed the importance of limiting the effectiveness of East Webster standouts QB Johnathan Banks (1) and SE Reggie OBriant (25).
“East Webster plays very sound football,” Hollis said. “We can’t make mistakes and we’ll have to play our best game.”
The Rams dominated East Oktibbeha last Friday tripling them 3-1 in yardage. Six different ball carriers rushed for Vardaman and four different Rams recorded receptions.
QB Gene Ruth, who passed for 58 yards and rushed for 86, started the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run.
His second score was a 1-yard run for a 14-0 lead.
Chris Armstrong scored on a 1-yard touchdown run for a 21-0 lead at halftime.
The two second half scores came on a 20-yard pass from Ruth to Xavier Humphries and a 3-yard run by Ty Mitchell.
Kevin Barnette, pictured above, was perfect on his extra points and blocked a punt for the second straight game.
