Brandon Presley, Northern District Public Service Commissioner, will host a “Rural Community Meeting” in Pittsboro Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Calhoun County Courthouse to listen to concerns from the public.
“I want to give people in the rural communities an opportunity to speak up and share their concerns with me personally about high utility rates and service, and how that affects their lives and businesses,” Presley said. “I also want to provide a forum where I can speak directly to the public about the important issues facing the PSC today and the major reforms I believe are necessary.”
In addition to updating the public on current issues before the PSC, Commissioner Presley plans to discuss his “Ratepayers’ Bill of Rights”; updates on ‘Zap the Gap’; PSC satellite offices; and financial assistance programs available to low-income ratepayers.
He will also discuss updates on the No Call Law and other consumer related topics that affect Mississippians and our economic climate.
The meeting is open to any who wish to attend.
