Scott Allen Longest, 55 of Bruce, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford. He was born April 28, 1960 in Bruce, the son of David Longest and the late Vivian Jenkins Longest. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was a truck driver for FSR Transport.
Terry Wade Dunn, 47, of Bruce, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at his residence in Bruce. Born August 28, 1967, he was the son of Morris Elvis Dunn, Jr. (Penny) and Mattie Louise Hill Buchanan (Freddie) all of Bruce. Charles Earl Smith, 71 of Bruce, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at NMMC in Tupelo. Born July 27, 1943 in Bruce, he was the son of Louise Kisner Smith and the late Elmo Smith. He was retired from National Resource Conservation Service. He served as an SP4 in the Army. He was a Veteran of Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star of Valor. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and Lieutenant in the SCV Camp, Calhoun Avengers, #1969.

Ann Lindsey Burgess, 83, of Memphis, died peacefully on July 16, 2015. She was born October 16, 1931, in Banner, the daughter of Boyce Lindsey and Addie Chloe Riley McMahan. She graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1949 and retired from The University of Memphis after 35 years of loyal service, where she was honored for her work with students for whom she provided vocational placement and guidance. She was born September 19, 1957 in Calhoun County to Willie G (Jank) Pittman and Eddie Mae Dukes Pittman. She received her formal education at Calhoun City High School. She moved to Milwaukee in the early 1980’s. She was saved and baptized at a young age. She had Christian beliefs which she instilled into her children and grandchildren.
