Marjorie Ellard, 85, of Saulsburg, Tn., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at BMH-East in Memphis. She was born August 20, 1925 in Derma, the daughter of William Hardin and Zelma Arnold Ellard. She was a graduate of BHS and Holmes Jr. College. A re-tired certified nurse aesthetician from Baptist Memorial Hospital, she received her degree from Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She also worked for Memphis Cataract and Eye Laser Center. She served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps as a Second Lieutenant during the Korean Conflict and served in Exchange of Prisoners of Freedom Village. She was a lifetime member of American Legion and V.F.W., and was a member of Eastern Star. She loved fishing and gardening, and she lived most of her life in Memphis. Private commital service was Saturday at Bruce Cemetery.
