The Calhoun City Lady Wildcats improved to 6-4 on the season and 1-0 in region play with a 3-2 extra-inning victory over Mantachie Monday night.
Kaitlyn Doles earned the win pitching eight innings, allowing only three hits, two runs while striking out 11. Doles also hit a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Taylor Seiler accounted for the game-winning RBI with a single in the eighth. Lindsey Liles added two singles and two runss scored. Emiley Poynor singled and drove in the game-tying run in the seventh inning. Taylor Rodgers also singled.
Doles surrendered only three hits in five innings of work in a 2-1 victory over Ackerman last Friday. She added two singles at the plate.
Other Lady Wildcat hitters were Taylor Rodgers two singles, Taylor Seiler two singles, Ashley Floyd two singles and two RBIs, and Stacia Wiggs a single.
The Lady Wildcats dropped a 4-0 decision last week to East Webster. Lindsey Liles took the loss despite only allowing two hits over five innings.
Liles and Rodgers had the only two ‘City hits.
The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to play at East Union Saturday at 1 p.m.
