The Bruce Lady Trojans put together a dominating effort over East Webster to close out the regular season Friday night. The Bruce girls won their 11th consecutive game by a 45-16 score over the Lady Wolverines.
The schedule has been released for the District 1, Region 2-2A Basketball Tournament to be held Feb. 9-12 at the Bruce High School gymnasium. Both Bruce and Calhoun City will take part in this tournament.
Vardaman defensive lineman Jeremy Penson signed a football scholrship with Northeast Community College Wednesday on National Signing Day. He was the only Calhoun Countian to sign in 2010.

Itawamba Community College's new head football coach, Jon Williams, has dipped into Terry Bowden's coaching staff at the University of North Alabama for his new defensive coordinator. Calhoun City native Sean Cannon, who has 13 years of collegiate coaching experience, heads to ICC after four years of coaching the linebackers and serving as strength and conditioning coach at UNA.
