He was retired after 20 years at Memphis Hardwood. He was a member of Parker Baptist Church and was a Gideon and a Mason. He enjoyed farming, cattle and caring for elderly. |

She was a homemaker and member of Duncan Hill Baptist Church. She enjoy attending church and working in her yard. She was loved by family and friends. She was the widow of Harley V. Nabors Jr. |

James Edward “Jim” Keyser, Jr., 75, of Calhoun City, died Sunday, May 2, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, AL after a lengthy illness. He was born on Governor’s Island, NY and as a child lived in Plattsburg, NY, Orlando, FL, and Jacksonville, FL. He earned a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. From 1965 to 1975, he taught music at Northwest Mississippi Junior College, Senatobia, and was also chairman of the School’s Fine Arts Department. Jim served as Minister of Music, Youth and Senior Adults in several churches including First Baptist Church, Senatobia; Coldwater Baptist Church; First Baptist Church, Naples, FL; First Baptist Church, Calhoun City, and was most recently serving as Music Minister of First Baptist Church in Charleston. Jim was a member of the Mississippi Singing Churchmen, an Air Force veteran, Boy Scout leader, and past president of the Calhoun City Rotary Club. For many summers he taught at Mississippi Baptist Youth Music camps. He enjoyed opera, working on cameras, camping, and LSU sports. His greatest passion was missions. He went on many mission trips and led several mission teams to Mexico. |
