By LISA McNEECE A Calhoun City man has been charged in the break-in of a home in the Pleasant Hill community. Fernando Gonzalez-Vaz-quez, 25, was arrested Oct. 22 for the burglary of Angela Jenkins’ home October 21. Calhoun deputies say that a minor is likely to be charged in the incident as well. Jenkins discovered the break-in around 3 p.m. The house was ransacked and several items were missing. Entry to the house was gained by removing an air conditioner. After arriving on the scene deputies found a bag containing the stolen items in the woods 80-100 yards from the home. The bag was covered with leaves and pine straw. Vazquez, according to deputies, was staying in the house next door belonging to John Rimmer. Vazquez was arrested the following day. All stolen items were found in the bag except a cell phone. |
