By LISA McNEECE Vardaman board of aldermen approved increases for health insurance for four town employees at the regular meeting of the board last night. The increase will add $74.86 to the monthly premium. They also approved: •Support contract for $2,820 with BBI (computer software company) for budgetary, payroll court and water software •Resolution supporting nomination of Randy Kelly as a member of the TVA board of directors representing the state of Mississippi. •Training for city clerk Barbara Tedder Feb. 8 and 12 at Flowood for budgetary and court software and March 3-5 at Tunica for court clerk training. •Reimbursement to police chief Calvin Barnett for fuel paid for with personal credit card. •Approved Three Rivers Resolution local and private act. Mayor James Casey reported that installation of generators was complete and paper work is being finalized so the town can be reimbursed for the project. The generators were purchased as part of a 100%?homeland security grant. Alderwoman Jeannie Winter was not at the meeting. |
