By JOEL McNEECE Rodney Tedford, of Bruce, signed the affidavit Tuesday against Parsons regarding an altercation the two men had at Parker's Grocery the previous weekend. Grenada County Sheriff Alton Strider said his department, upon Tedford's affidavit, issued the warrant and notified the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department who picked Parsons up late Tuesday night. He spent the night in jail at Pittsboro and was picked up by Grenada officers Wednesday morning and transported to Grenada. Parsons bonded out of the Grenada jail Wednesday morning. Calhoun County Justice Court Judge Mark Ferguson arranged a meeting between Parsons and Tedford afterwards at the Bruce Police Department. Tedford dropped all charges. "We shook hands and put it behind us," Parsons said. |
