By JOEL McNEECE Bruce and Calhoun City will host Veterans’ Day programs over the next week. Calhoun City High School will hold its annual program this Friday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. in the school auditorium. The public is invited to attend. Bruce VFW Post 5571 will sponsor the Veterans’ Day Ceremony on the Bruce Square Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Retired Army Lt. Colonel Mike Young of Bruce. Everyone is invited to the square and then to the VFW Post Building for stew following the ceremony. Calhoun City’s Veterans’ Day program is set for 10 a.m. on the square. No details of the program were available prior to press time. |
