By JOEL McNEECE A Bruce woman was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle car accident on East Clay Street.
Kimberly Williams, 40, was traveling east on East Clay when she left the road and crashed into a tree. Bruce Policeman Phillip Jackson said it appeared she suffered a seizure while driving that forced her off the road. Jackson said witnesses reported she accelerated quickly before crossing the other lane and leaving the road, ultimately crashing into a tree. Wings helicopter from Oxford was summoned and landed in Jimmie Lois Tedford's yard, but Williams was pronounced dead in the ambulance before she could be airlifted. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 22 from 5-9 p.m. at Pryor memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at Parker memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial will be at Poplar Spring Cemetery in Vardaman. Williams is survived by her husband, Chad Williams of Bruce; father and mother, Carroll Ray and Shirley Morgan of Vardaman; one son, C.J.
