Bruce Library Hosting Family Movie Party PDF Print E-mail
By EMILY TAYLOR
You’re invited to a Family Movie Party at the Jesse Yancy Memorial Library, Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10–noon.
We’ll be watching a great alien and monster-filled movie for all ages. Bring a snack to enjoy during the movie. You can even bring your pillow to sit back and relax with! While you’re at the library you can check out some great Halloween books!
Don’t have a card?  Bring something showing your current address and you can get a card! Children under 16 will need a parent or guardian present in order to get a library card.  Call the library at (662)983-2220 if you have any questions!
Be at Bruce Library Saturday, Oct. 24 from noon to 2 as we “go beyond reality” in honor of Teen Read Week. Dress as any “beyond reality” character (dragon, vampire, fairy godmother, etc.) and join us as we eat pizza and watch a “beyond reality” movie.
We’ll vote on which movie to watch. The choices are “The Golden Compass”, “Inkheart”, “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, and “Coraline.” Ages 12 and up.
Grab your family and join us at Bruce Library as we hear some scare-you-silly stories, eat some tasty treats, and play some frighteningly funny games.
The fun starts Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. All ages are welcome. Be sure to get your pumpkin decorated and to the library by 2 p.m. on the 24th to be entered into the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Winners will be announced at Tuesday night’s storytime! For more information, call the library at (662) 983-2220.
