Labor Day got off to a hot start for many firemen in the county. Cagni’s restaurant in Calhoun City, owned by J.W. Walker, caught fire around 7:30 a.m. Monday. Fire departments from Calhoun City, Derma, Vardaman, and Big Creek were on the scene to help fight the large blaze that destroyed most of the building.
