Hope Outdoors will host its first fishing rodeo this Saturday, May 24 at Steve and Bonnie Morgan’s home approximately three miles west of Bruce.
The event is for all ages with any type of disability – wheelchair bound, cancer surviver, wounded warrior, older adult who has suffered stroke or other hardship preventing them from enjoying the outdoors.
“Our goal is to show them that all things are possible with God,” organizer Josh Morgan said.
A sandwich lunch will be served and a fish fry for dinner. There will be a speaker at both meals.
“This will be a very fun/laid back day for you and your family to get away and enjoy the day with the Hope Outdoors family,” Morgan said. “You can fish in the morning, all afternoon or all day and come and go as you please. Just bring a lawn chair and any fishing supplies you have. Volunteers are asked to bring their fishing supplies for the ones who don’t have their own to use.”
For more information call Josh Morgan at 662-414-6183 or TV7 and ask for Bonnie at 662-983-2801 or 662-983-2885. Please call Bonnie if you would like to help make desserts or help/donate with food in any way.
The Morgans live on Hwy. 32 west of Bruce. Look for the Hope Outdoors sign on your right after you pass the 330 intersection.
