Hamilton tops Bruce 4-0 behind strong pitching from Chase Reeves

The Bruce Trojans didn’t have an answer for Hamilton pitcher Chase Reeves Tuesday night. Reeves struck out 15 batters and allowed only two hits in a 4-0 win for the visiting Lions.

trojansjay80Matthew Wilburn and Jay King had the only two Bruce hits.
The Bruce Trojans dropped to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in region play.
Last Tuesday night they defeated West Lowndes 13-1 at Bruce Park.
Jay King, 4-0, earned the win, limiting West Lowndes to only two hits in five innings of work.
Codie McMahan put the game away in the fifth with a grand slam home run to invoke the 10-run rule.
Chase Clark had three hits, including a double, in the win for the Trojans.
Matthew McDowell and Tiny Moore each had two hits.
Bruce traveled to West Lowndes Friday and won 17-2 with Tiny Moore earning the victory on the mound.
Barrett Wooten, Jay King and Chase Clark all had multiple hits for the Trojans. Clark’s two hits were both doubles.
Wiley Maddox and J.B. Long both hit doubles in the game.
Wooten, King and Moore all recorded triples.
Houston visited Bruce Saturday and handed the Trojans their first loss of the season.
Reed Gregory took the loss for the Trojans, 8-1.
Gregory hit a triple in the game. Wiley Maddox had a home run.
