Calhoun Academy suffered a heart-breaking loss to Russell Christian in the MAIS 8-Man State Championship game. Bruce and Calhoun City advanced to the Class 2A North Half semifinals Friday with wins at East Webster and Mound Bayou. Vardaman’s season ended in a first round loss at home to Coffeeville.
