Cameron Clarke, of Pittsboro, finished second at the first tournament of the year on the Coca-Cola Junior golf tour.
Clarke, the son of Allan and Tiffany Clarke, shot a 49 at The Trace to finish three shots off the lead in the 10-11-year-old division.
Next week’s tournament is at Starkville Country Club.
