Nathan Hugh Smith, 92, of Myrtle, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1920, in Chickasaw County to Hugh Clifton Smith and Dot Allen Smith. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of the Union?County Schools, Mississippi Highway Department and the Myrtle Baptist Church, where he was a member.
Eddie Joe Morgan, 78, a retired district claims manager for Farm Bureau Insurance, passed away Tuesday, April 9, at his home in Starkville. He was born November 16, 1934 in Illinois. He attended First Methodist Church in Starkville.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church in Oxford with Rev. Jerry East officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home.

James Braxton “Brack” Patterson, 83, of Calhoun City, died March 30, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born July 27, 1929 in Pittsboro, the son of William Clyde Patterson and Alma McFall Patterson.
Rev. Douglas Browning, 81, of Eupora, passed peacefully from his home into the arms of Jesus on March 27, 2013. He was born February 7, 1932 in Justice, WV. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Webster County. Rev. Sam Edwards, Rev. Don Boren, and Rev. Jerrod Whittington will officiated. Visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born on February 13, 1934 in Calhoun County, MS, the daughter of Graves Cannon & Artie Parker Cannon. She was a homemaker, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church & a member of Tri Community Homemakers Club.

James Carmon Mosley, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his residence. He was a retired from Bowater as a machine shop foreman. He was a charter member of Westmore Church of God. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II and fought in battles in Germany. He was an avid carpenter.
