Kathleen Mason

Kathleen Kelly Mason, 88, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. A Tupelo native, Kathleen was born September 28, 1926 to W.O. and Maude Galloway Kelly. She was a retired Human Resources Director at Grenada Lake Medical Center and a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada. David Reid Jr.

David Michael Reid, Jr., 53, passed away October 20, 2014, at his residence in West Point. David was born March 8, 1961, in Batesville, the son of David Michael and Patricia Ann Wilbourn Reid, Sr. One of his many accomplishments was serving as the Troop Leader of the Boy Scouts of America in Calhoun City, where he earned his Eagle Scout.  He was a 1979 Graduate of West Point High School and a 1983 graduate of Mississippi State University, Graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He was an accomplished and skilled self-employed carpenter, owning and operating Reid’s Renovations, where he was recently awarded the People’s Choice Best Carpenter by the Daily Times Leader. He enjoyed fishing and watching football.  He was also an accomplished cook.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  He married Renee Holcombe Reid on May 9, 2000, in Gatlinburg, TN. Marie Cantrell Hurst, 92, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City.  Born October 15, 1922,in Ecru,  she was the daughter of the late Jesse Roy Cantrell and Sarah Jane Parker

Harvey Raymond Davis, 94, of Houston, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City. He was born March 20, 1920, in Houston to Harvey Hardin Davis and Georgia May Stafford Davis. He was retired from Franklin Corporation. William Edward McCammon,  80, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.  He was born February 14, 1934 in Yalobusha County, to the late Richard Thomas and Alma Lorene Redwine McCammon.  He worked most of his life in the construction business and enjoyed tinkering and fixing things.  He also enjoyed fishing, traveling and farming and was a faithful member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Calhoun County.  Cassell Thomas “C.T.” Sexton left this world of pain and strife and was welcomed with open arms by his Heavenly Father on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. He was born November 14, 1926 in the mountains of West Virginia.
