Ivy Jean Posey

Ivy Jean Posey, 71, of Bruce, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at NMMC.  Born February 28, 1942 in Bruce, she was a daughter of Winfred and Wilma Ivy Bailey.  She attended school in Bruce, was a member of Carnation Baptist Church and was a seamstress in the area furniture plants.  A fun loving lady with a great sense of humor, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand children and great grandchildren.  An excellent cook, she also enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping and amassing a large collection of cookbooks. Susan Marie Harsen Davis, 64, died Monday, February 24, 2014 at her home in Water Valley.  She was born August 21, 1949 in Seattle, WA to the late Sylvester and Margaret Hewitt Harsen.  Susan served in the United States Navy, and earned a master’s degree in nursing.  She was a faithful member of Christ the Rock Apostolic Church in Oxford, where she served as co-facilitator for the On-Track Life Enrichment Program and Director of the Women’s Esprit’ Program.  Susan enjoyed cooking, sewing, helping others and spent much of her time volunteering as a school nurse and a bus driver for the Oxford Christian Academy.  Her life revolved around her church and her family.
