Learn ingredients to avoid and why. Participants are invited to bring their own personal products for discussion.

•Calhoun City Public Library will be closed August 30-September 1 for the Labor Day Holiday.  Regular hours will resume Sept. 2.

•Managing the Family Forest in Mississippi will be presented at the Calhoun County Extension Office (at the AgriCenter) in Pittsboro Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost of the short course is $29/person or $47/couple (non-refundable) which will cover lunch, refreshments.

•McQuay’s 6th Annual Retiree Reunion is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gore Springs Community Center.  All retired McQuay employees and spouses and spouses of deceased retirees are invited. It’s not required, but  you may bring a finger food or dessert. Drinks provided. Donations to cover rental and miscellaneous expenses accepted.
