Calhoun Health Services is scheduled to open bids next month for several renovations to the county nursing home.
The project calls for the renovation of four existing shower/tub rooms and upgrading the lighting in 31 bedrooms.
“This will give both 60-bed wings their own whirlpool facilities,” CHS Administrator James Franklin said. “This should make these facilities more user-friendly and much more modern for our residents.”
The bids for the project are scheduled to be opened Sept. 11 with construction to begin later this fall.
In a separate bid project, Calhoun Health Services is also replacing the air conditioning system in its main building on the Calhoun City campus.
