Calhoun City sweeps division tournament; Trojans 3rd; Lady Rams place 2nd in 4-1A; Rams 4th

Calhoun City teams swept the division 4-2A tournament title while the Bruce Trojans earned third. In Smithville, the Vardaman Lady Rams earned second in 4-1A and the Rams took fourth.

The Lady Wildcats finished off the division championship with their 18th consecutive victory, 58-44 over East Webster. The Lady Wildcats will host Leland Monday at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to the North Half Tournament.

The Wildcats defeated Eupora 65-51 in the championship game to claim the 4-2A title. They will host Riverside Tuesday at 7 p.m. to see who advances to the North Half tournament.

The Bruce Trojans defeated Okolona 76-66 in the 4-2A consolation game to earn third. They will travel to West Bolivar Tuesday to play for a berth in the North Half Tournament.

The Vardaman Lady Rams were upset by Coffeeville in the 4-1A championship game 63-50. Niesha Willis led the Lady Rams with 10 points. They will host Coldwater Monday night with a berth in the North Half Tournament on the line.

The Rams fell to Houlka 70-38 in the 4-1A consolation game. They will travel to Shaw Tuesday night to see if they can keep their season alive.
