Calhoun Care’s Fall Festival is Saturday in Pittsboro

Calhoun Care’s Fall Festival will be Saturday, Oct. 5 indoors and out at the Multi-Purpose Building in Pittsboro. Events will start at 9 a.m. and last until 8:30 p.m.

Arts and crafts booths will feature jams and jellies, woodworking, earrings, clothes, t-shirts and more.
Festival t-shirts will be available at the event for $15.

A Calhoun Cares representative will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and have applications for those taking cancer treatment who want to apply for assistance.
Kids’ events include a 24 ft. slide, putt-putt golf, redneck train and prize walk.

Food vendors will have popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones, hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos in bags, nachos, desserts and drinks.
Natural Beauty Pageant will be at 2 p.m. for ages 0-18. Contestants should not wear makeup and be dressed in Western attire. Entry fee is $10. Deadline to register is Friday, Aug. 27. Trophies to winners

Talent show is at 7 p.m. Age groups are 9-under, 10-13, 14-18 and adult. Entry fee is $5, may register at event. Prizes will be awarded.
The festival is sponsored by Calhoun County Oil.

Proceeds will to Calhoun Care to benefit cancer patients in Calhoun County.
