Lady Cougars Remain On Top, Division

The high school girls improved their district-leading record to 8-2
with a 39-21 win.

Calhoun Academy swept a trio of games from Winona Christian last week. The high school girls improved their district-leading record to 8-2 with a 39-21 win.
Kelci McCormick led the way with 10 points, followed by Deanna Reynolds with nine, Torri Descateaux five, Misty Pryor, Brittney Sutherland and Allie Norman four each, Parker Shea Hardin two points, and Jordan Edwards with one.
The junior high girls won 18-14. Mika Jones led with 10 points. Anna Grace Turner and Caly Denton scored three each. Miranda McCormick added two.
The junior high boys were victorious 47-32. Hunter Harmon led with 15 points. Danny Norman scored 13, Warner Jones seven, Daniel Odom six, Steven Jackson four, and Zack Kimbrough two.
The Lady Cougars and the junior high teams travel to Carroll Academy Thursday night. Their next home game is Tuesday, Jan. 20 against Immanuel.
