A Bruce man was transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Oxford after a 3-car wreck on Hwy. 9W north of Banner Wednesday afternoon.
Bobby Clements was the only person in the wreck transported to the hospital. At last report, his most serious injury was a broken collar bone.
Clements’ vehicle ran off the west side of the highway, running down an embankment and rolling over several times before coming to a stop upside down in a field.
Another car driven by Jennifer Shepard of Lafayette County, crashed on the east side of the highway. Shepard said she injured a hand in the accident. Her passengers, Billy Mayhan and Josh Birmingham, both of Lafayette County, were not injured.
A third vehicle was involved, but left the scene while medics were tending to the other victims. The third vehicle did not crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. Pictured are EMRs tending to Clements at the scene of the accident.
