Bruce and Calhoun City placed 16 players each on the all region teams for 1-2A, led by Trojan Shaq Bush who earned Region Most Valuable Player.
Bush, a senior wide receiver for the Trojans, finished the season with 63 catches for 978 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had four punt returns for touchdowns and made 39 tackles on defense.
Bruce QB Davis Brown earned offensive MVP in the region. He completed 63% of his passes (177-283) for 2,933 yards, 36 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
The Bruce coaching staff earned coaching staff of the year.
Calhoun City QB Chakel Gates leads the "Super 22" offense. Gates completed 56% of his passes for 1,118 yards, 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,207 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Other Super 22 offensive players were Rashad Turner of Bruce and Lavarious Varnado of Calhoun City at wide receiver.
Offensive linemen Brooks Goodson, and Jordan England from Calhoun City, and Dusty Blackwelder from Bruce.
Super 22 defensive honors went to defensive linemen Kardevin Thomas of Calhoun City and Girraud Mingo and Deshawn Tillman of Bruce.
Cartin McBride of Calhoun City and Jonathan Bobo of Bruce were both Super 22 linebackers.
The secondary consisted of cornerback Donta Armstrong of Bruce.
First team honors for Bruce included Zavious Armstong, Javon Petty, Jonathan Stricklin, Benjamin Williams, Terrance Jones, Darrian Sullivan, and Russ Owen.
Calhoun City first team members are Tyler Evans, Heath Browning, Cyle Havens, Travone Petty, Ryne Lee, and Tanner Bailey.
Earning honorable mention were Kendrell Nolden and Herberto Ramirez from Bruce, and Brieton Sykes, Jordan Pratt, James Hervey, Shaquille Wright from Calhoun City.
