Bluegrass music, mule wagon rides, political speaking, arts and crafts and a lot more are part of today’s Mayfest in Big Creek.
The town has brought back its Mayfest festival of past years with a new focus on bluegrass/folk music.
The festival continues throughout the day today (Saturday, April 30). Among the performers playing are The Cobb family, Brooke Barksville and The Nelsons, all of Mountain View, Arkansas; and regional acts such as Good Time Express, Without A Doubt and Sheryl Fleming.
Other festival highlights include an arts and crafts show featuring jewelry, floral, clothing, yard signs, candles, soaps, home canned goods and more.
There are many food options available and political speaking is also planned today.
Big Creek officials invited everyonee to “take a step back into the good ole days” and enjoy the festival.
