Bruce and Calhoun City played to a 12-12 tie in the schools’ first alumni game, which was heralded as an “overwhelming success” by the coaches.
A large crowd attended the game allowing the two programs to raise almost $10,000 after including t-shirt sales and concessions to be divided among the schools.
More than 50 former Trojans and Wildcats participated in the “full-contact” regulation game with all the extras.
In addition to their players, the Trojans brought almuni cheerleaders Lauren Blount, Alayna Yarbrough, Shelia Thornton, Kaley Mata, Jodie Rogers, Ladonna Lee, Karen Haire, Leah Malone, Susan Byrd, Michelle Warner, Amanda Gulledge, and Brittney Vanlandingham.
Calhoun City countered with their own cheerleading crew of Rhonda Faye Collums Gullette, Lisa Pettit, Pam Shoemake Randall, Shelly Moore, Sharon Dean, Rhonda Ray, Haley Parker Caviness, Tanya Easley, Susan Hardin, Stephanie Lee, Tina Burghmaster, Cheslin Clemons, Jean Ann Casey, and Kim Parker. Calhoun City also fielded an alumni band.
