A 10-year-old Bruce girl was airlifted to LeBonheur in Memphis and her mother transported by ambulance to North Mississippi Regional Center in Tupelo after a 1-car accident on Hwy. 9 near Sarepta Friday afternoon.

Dawn Young and her daughter Mackenzie were involved in the wreck that occurred around 2 p.m.

Bruce, Chickenbone and Banner emergency responders were on scene utilizing the “Jaws of Life” to remove both from the vehicle, which was lodged against a tree on the west side of the highway. [Read more...]
