April 26, 2007 – Several weeks ago I caught part of a “60 Minutes” program that was comparing the prices the Veterans’ Administration pays for drugs at “negotiated” prices and the price the rest of us must pay because federal law prohibits Medicare from “negotiation.”

John Robert Warner, 83, of Calhoun City, died April 23, 2011 at Calhoun Health Services in Calhoun City. He was born February 18, 1928 in Big Creek, the son of “A.V.” and Ruby Lee Carter Warner. He was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church. He was a farmer, Calhoun County Supervisor for 16 years, prison warden, and an employee of Sunbelt Management Company and Safe Security.
