Fast-Pitch Softball Season Opens This Week

The Bruce Lady Trojans will begin the 2010 fast-pitch softball season this Saturday in Eupora.
They will face Winona at 9 a.m. and Kosciusko at 3 p.m.
The Vardaman Lady Rams will begin their season Friday night at home against South Pontotoc at 5 p.m.
Saturday they will travel to the Oxford Classic where they will play East Webster at 12 p.m. and Olive Branch at 3 p.m.

Cora Chancelor Orman, 97, of Calhoun City, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. She was born December 15, 1912 in Calhoun County, the daughter of Bob and Bertha Doss Chancelor.?She was a homemaker and member of Baileyville Baptist Church.
