Jane Reed Massey Bryant, of Cordova, died peacefully at her home Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Wade and Erlene Massey of Bruce, where she grew up. Jane was married to the late Jimmy Bryant and together they moved to Memphis in 1958, and reared three children; Kerrie Bryant Burton, Sandra Bryant Connell and Phil Bryant.

Judy Pearl Parker, Bruce, died Monday,?Dec. 21, 2009 at BMH-NM in Oxford. She was born June 6, 1954 to Willie and Elsie Cook Parker in Chickasaw County. She was a member of West Grove M.B. Church. She loved to cook, watch television, listen to gospel music and talk, and she was an avid sports fan. She was full of life and never met a stranger.

Ruth Easley
Miss Ruth Easley, 87, of Pittsboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City. She was born November 7, 1922 in Derma, the daughter of Edgar Smith and Dora Parker Easley. She retired from Home Insurance Company, Jackson; was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, D.A.R., and Homemakers Club. She was a former nursing home volunteer. She was a devoted family member who will be missed by her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
