Margaret Marie “Kitty” Davis, 72, of Southaven, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She was born July 29, 1936 in North Carolina, the daughter of Harry Souther and Annie Mae Ledford Souther. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Nesbit, and Lions Club in Hendersonville, NC.

Johnny Russell Edwards, age 65, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at his home in Lafayette County, Ms. Born in Calhoun County, he had resided in the Oxford area the majority of his life. A member of the Old Dallas Hunting Club, he loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed farming and working the land. He especially loved his family, and life in general. He was a member of the Pine Bluff Church of Christ.

SMS Jerry R. Reedy, 60, of Vardaman, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at BMH-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Ms. He was born March 9, 1948 in Vardaman, the son of Freddie Lee Reedy and Willie B. Edmondson Whittle. He was a retired Air Force Veteran, in which he had served as an Air Traffic Control Superintendent for over 21 years, and received several meritorious service awards. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Caledonia.
