Kitty Davis

Margaret Marie “Kitty” Davis, 72, of Southaven, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She was born July 29, 1936 in North Carolina, the daughter of Harry Souther and Annie Mae Ledford Souther. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Nesbit, and Lions Club in Hendersonville, NC.

Toni Robinson

Toni Rose Robinson, 56, of Grenada, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was born March 12, 1952 in Vardaman. A homemaker, she attended the United Pentecostal Church of Grenada, and Vardaman High School.

Benny Huckaby

Benny Gene Huckaby, 49, of Memphis, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He was born November 24, 1959 in Water Valley. He was an auto mechanic.

Johnny Edwards

Johnny Russell Edwards, age 65, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at his home in Lafayette County, Ms. Born in Calhoun County, he had resided in the Oxford area the majority of his life. A member of the Old Dallas Hunting  Club, he loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed farming and working the land. He especially loved his family, and life in general. He was a member of the Pine Bluff Church of Christ.

James Morgan

James Rubel Morgan, 74, of Horn Lake, formerly of Memphis, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was a retired parts salesman for Choice Auto Parts of Memphis, was an Army Veteran, a Mason of Horn Lake Lodge, and was of the Baptist faith.

Julia Brassfield

Julia Rainey Brassfield, 80, of Calhoun City, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at BMH-NM in Oxford. She was born September 9, 1928 in Calhoun County, the daughter of Johnny and Vadie Voyles Rainey. She was a homemaker and babysitter, and a member of the Way of the Cross Church of the Nazarene.

Jerry Reedy

SMS Jerry R. Reedy, 60, of Vardaman, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at BMH-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Ms. He was born March 9, 1948 in Vardaman, the son of Freddie Lee Reedy and Willie B. Edmondson Whittle. He was a retired Air Force Veteran, in which he had served as an Air Traffic Control Superintendent for over 21 years, and received several meritorious service awards. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Caledonia.

Alice Hughes Brumley, 85, of Calhoun City, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at Calhoun Health Services. She was born October 17, 1923 in Savannah, Tn., the daughter of Troy and Daisy Smith Hughes. She was a homemaker.
