Rain Likely In Tonight’s North Half Title Game
The Calhoun City Wildcats, 10-2, will host the Ray Brooks Tigers, 12-0,
tonight for the Class 1A North Half Championship at 7 p.m. The winner
will advance to next Friday’s State Championship game at Memorial
Stadium in Jackson to play the winner of Mt. Olive and Puckett.

Bruce’s Bethany Pratt Will Compete, Miss Mississippi
Bethany Pratt, of Bruce, will compete for Miss Mississippi next summer after winning the Miss Delta Blues pageant. “I’m excited,” Pratt said. “I know it will be a lot of preparation and hard work, but I’m ready.” Pratt, the daughter of James and Becky Wright of Bruce, earned the
title two weeks ago at a Miss Mississippi preliminary in Starkville.
